Lovely, quirky old world pub. This is by no means a polished bistro but the food is honest and it is a popular place we have visited several times now while traveling Scotland in our motorhome. The food has always been good for the price point. We can recommend the steak pie
Went to Glencoe which was terrible and stopped randomly here for some soup...made our day. STUNNING INSIDE. Staff brilliant and food next level. It's about 2 hours from us but we'll be back as it's that good. Simple menu, everything fresh... can drive home now with the wife and 2 kid's stuffed and happy. Thanks to all the staff
Great historical pub. Stopped by when I was staying at loch lomond. I had a traditional Scottish meal of scotch broth and haggies neeps and tatties. It was lovely food and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely worth stopping off at.
Attended the restaurant and bar. The wait was long but the food was delicious and reasonably priced for a remote restaurant. The cosy restaurant filled with taxidermy of various native animals. Fully immersive experience. Popular with dark tourists for it's mysterious history. There is an unusual presence.
Such a cosy and wonderful pub. We were able to stay in the carpark with our campervan. As a thank you we had a couple of drinks in the pub. The pub has a good variety of 0% beers. I in particular liked the non alcoholic Innis and Gun larger. As couple from Essex, we thought the drinks were very reasonably priced. We didn’t have dinner at the pub. But the food looked tasty, and the portion sizes looked good. It was also nice to be able to use the toilet in the morning. The staff were friendly and we felt very welcome. The Drovers Inn is a good place to park if you’re looking to do the Beinn Chabhair Munro.
We parked up at the rear of this beautiful building in our campervan surrounded by mountains and waterfalls. On entering you instantly felt the history of this place come to life. Even though this was our first time we were welcomed like regulars the staff were impeccable. We had a few drinks before ordering our food which was cooked to perfection all 4 of us really enjoyed the food they even gave the dogs treats. We stayed overnight in the carpark and in the morning we tried the breakfast. All i can say is wow variety and amount was something else it was the perfect place and we all will return again next year.
Night away in the Haunted room.Booking this room well in advance recommended as popular. Very rustic hotel, old style inside but felt comfy. Staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Menu not the biggest but food was cooked fresh and was delicious and served timeously, as was breakfast. Reasonably priced meal and drinks. Room was comfy, enduite, spacious and had all facilities required, minus a tv though, but did not bother us as wasnt in the room much, only for sleeping. Great night and would recommend a stay.
I've wanted to stay at this Inn for many years but sadly it's always been fully booked when I've been in the area. Fortunately, on this occasion I managed to get a room for the night and I wasn't disappointed! We ended up having a late arrival and contacted the Inn in advance to warn that we'd be arriving out of hours. They were very accommodating and very kindly arranged for some sandwiches to be waiting upon our arrival. After a 7.5 hour journey, these were greatly received! All of the staff were amazing and couldn't be more helpful and welcoming, in particular Jazz and Morgan, also not forgetting the chef but I'm not sure of his name :-) The whole place is exactly as I imagined and has a real ambience and rustic feel, just like going back in time - in a good way! The breakfast was also amazing, of course I went for the full Scottish option which was a delight and set us up for the day. It's in a perfect location and was a much needed break in our journey to Aviemore. Can't wait to return in the future and arrive at a more respectable time to enjoy an evening meal and become submersed in the atmosphere. I'll just have to make sure I book in plenty of time as it'll most likely be during the peak season! :-)
